Father's Day

Sunday was Father's Day and Mom and Dad came over for a visit with good eats and a cool swim. Andrew and I had schemed and came up with several cool gifts for Paul. All his gifts were received well, but I think his favorite was the framed photo of Zach, Stacy and Teddy. He says it will make work less tedious when he can get a glimpes of those three happy faces. Zach called and said that Tedddy, our first grand-dog, now weights 64 lbs and is still growing. So much for a small, Boogle, their word for a beagle, boxer mix. I believe Teddy is really a great doxer.....great dane, and boxer. He has an awesome personality. We look forward to seeing him again.
Andrew helped Paul cook T-bone steaks for our celebration and I made a green salad and an Ambrosia fruit salad. Paul's mom used to make the best Ambrosia and it is one of his favorite dishes. I need to make more of those "memory" dishses for Paul. Let's see, that would be Banana Pudding, Coconut Pie, Homemade Ice Tea, Pinto Beans, Collard Greens, Turnip Greens, Okra, and Biscuits. Yummm.
Dad has written to his Aunt Martha about our trip to Dayton Tennessee. His statement that Dayton is dead is so sad. The part we visited seemed so deserted. Maybe Dayton has just moved over a bit and we missed the new part.
Father's day ended with Paul and I watching Dancing Outlaw..Paul made a DVD version from the VCR version with one of his new toys. Paul had operated on the old VCR after it had eaten a tape. With so many family movies on VCR, Andrew and I thought that we needed a way to still watch them and also to switch them over to DVD's Paul decided that Dancing Outlaw should be the first one copied. We love that movie
Well gotta go, need to quit picking at my brain, what little there is left of it
